GS Olympia Larissa BC (alternate spelling: Olimpia) (in Greek: Γ.Σ. Ολύμπια Λάρισας) is a Greek professional basketball club that is based in Larissa, Greece. The club's full name is Gymnastikos Syllogos Olympia Larissa Basketball Club. It was founded in 1979, making it one of the youngest sports clubs in Greece. Its colors are orange and green. Olympia Larissa's home arena is the Larissa Neapolis Arena. In 2009, the club merged with AEL 1964 BC.

Notable Greek players that have played with the club include: Giorgos Printezis, Dimos Dikoudis, and Nikos Ekonomou.

History

GS Olympia Larissa BC is a team that has been ascending of late in the Greek A1 League. During the 2006-07 season, Olympia Larissa placed 7th in the regular season and qualified to the playoffs for the first time, with core leaders such as former University of Florida standout Matt Walsh, 2007 NBA Draft second round draft pick Giorgos Printezis and Giorgos Tsiaras.

Olympia Larissa is a team composed of young players on the rise with a promising future. In the 2007-08 season of the Greek League, Olympia qualified for the playoffs for the second consecutive year, placing 8th in regular season. In the 2007-08 season of the EuroCup the team reached the stage of the Top 16 and that same season in the Greek Cup the club reached the quarter-finals.

In 2009, Olympia Larissa merged with AEL 1964 BC.
